We’ve been sleeping a bit on this dude Morrison, from Tilburg, The Netherlands, the place that gave birth to Generation Bass.

Another great track here from him showcasing his more Moombah/luv/soul side, really feeling this one. This takes me back to early H&M days and it’s as good as some of their early works, so don’t sleep on this, it is quality.

And don’t make the same mistake as us, don’t sleep on Morrison, he is a name to be reckoned with:

These 2 types of people, those who jump on bandwagons for self-promotion or hipster purposes and those who are genuinely excited to hear new developments in music because music is in their blood.

This guy clearly hasn’t jumped on any bandwagon but is someone who has  a passion for music and he has laid down a number of mixes dedicated to all things Kizomba, Semba, Tarraxinha, Kuduro and Bachata.  Expertly mixed too and showcasing the wide diversity that exists in these styles and the track selections are pretty dope too.

Shame, there are no downloads but essential listening if you’re into the new “Zouk Bass” phenomenon.

Remember when we published possibly the first Electro Chaabi mixtape outside of Egypt by the CLF a few weeks back HERE!!

Well since then that same mixtape went Global appearing all over the place!

Well what can you say about this!!!

2 Dutch dudes from Tilburg who go under the name of  “The Cairo Liberation Front” (CLF) putting out “possibly” the FIRST ever Electro Cha3bi Mixtape outside of Egypt.

We did a few features on Electro Chaabi late last year and yet again we brought something new to worldwide attention for the first time all over the blogosphere.

Since then I’ve tried hard to find out more about it and get some more material but man it hasn’t been easy at all to get this stuff unless it’s soundcloud rips.

I even enlisted my Legendary Egyptian brother Hossam Ramzy to do some digging and also a BBC Music correspondent who I know to be living in Egypt but both have not yet come back with anything.  Neither has Asmund from Copia Doble Systema who said he witnessed the Electro Cha3bi frenzy in person last year and he also knows some of the artists involevd in this exciting new musical movement.

So it’s all quiet on the Egyptian Front about Electro Cha3bi!

Perhaps they don’t want their huge party music to be colonized, who could blame them!!

But for now it is has been colonized in a friendly and introductory manner in this mixtape by 2 Dutch guys, the CLF!

It’s a great, authentic and killa mixtape that you can be rest assured would cause absolute mayhem both in a traditional Egyptian Electro Cha3bi context and also on western dancefloors for those who appreciate Middle Eastern vybz.

Over the last couple of years my friend HERR MULLER has dropped some really nice stuff, always balancing on the line between listening and dancing music. Of course he dropped a really sick EP on Generation Bass Digi, in fact, our very first release! Not just because we know the dude, but mostly because the tracks are really bangin’. He’s always been into hiphjop and funk though and with his latest incarnation as THE INSURGENT he’s given in to his lifelong ambitions to just produce straight up hiphop.
