Last Thursday I had the great pleasure of a personal invite from one of the label guys at SUBLIME FREQUENCIES to come on over and see what they’re up to on the LIVE front with their UK Tour.

Lucky for me, they came to Birmingham and, knowing Birmingham like I do, I was not optimistic for a good turn out on the night.

I rolled in on the night and much to my surprise they had an almost packed house going crazy to the GROUP DOUEH’s desert blues vibes. People were snatching up the glorious looking CD’s and the “most beautiful” VINYL artwork that I’ve seen in a very long time.

Man the guys at the label, Alan, Mark & Hisham are really, really cool dudes too….man, down to earth and you can feel the same love and passion that they have for music …….it’s sincere, motiveless, genuine and above all HONEST!…and it’s all about the MUSIC.. Not about unit sales or what’s hip at the moment or cool….or in fashion….it’s just about the MUSIC! And their LOVE for it. Just like us here at GENERATION BASS.

They don’t give a flyin’ fuck about ‘trying’ to be cool…they just are…and effortlessly too….

Group Doueh set the place on fire and Omar Souleyman just destroyed it…

So do check out and BUY this great Independent label’s works, if you are not already familiar with them, at their WEBSITE, which also gives details about their tour in the UK.

Also check out their MY SPACE to hear some cool music that you would NEVER have heard before…..retro 1960′s and 1970′s Hybrid Pop-Rock, Folk Beat, Yeh-Yeh Go-Go, Freak Beat, Psychedelic Surf and many other indigenous styles from North Africa, The Middle East, South and Southeast Asia.

WATCH OUT FOR A “BASSWRECKERS” REMIX OF A ‘JIHADI TECHNO-DABKE’ track by the Artist OMAR SOULEYMAN!….Coming later this year :-)

AND IF THEY’RE COMING TO YOUR TOWN / CITY / VILLAGE / PISSHOLE…DON’T MISS IT!

In the meantime check out these vids:
