With out too much explaining, these mixes have featured a collection of songs, heavy in bass, from a variety of genres, from all over the world. I do the mixes live, with little preparation, and feature only songs I’ve downloaded or purchased from the month the mixes are released in. Meet “The Crooked Clef”. He’s unofficially based out of Seattle but operates globally as a contributor to the blog Trash Menagerie, where he writes frequently about streetwise dance music, heavy in bass, from around the globe. In addition to writing, he mixes and records a live set of music in a monthly series entitled “Trash in the Bassment.”

Genres highlighted in these mixes include, but are not limited to, Dubstep, Electro, UK Funky, Tropical, Cumbia, Baltimore Club, and Kuduro. Departing from the impromptu eclecticism of his “Trash in the Bassment” series comes his first official mix. The mix is entitled “Cognitive Estrangement,” and still features his live mixing style, but with a more focused song arrangement…
