It has been an urge that has been increasing in intensity for me, the urge to take long drives normally taking two days to a week, and visit different cities where I can walk around and take photographs. I’m studying the human condition to find answers or perhaps to find myself. The objective is not yet clear but the journey and the documentation is well underway.

When I take these trips I enjoy the deep thinking, the meditating, the observing and meeting of pretty girls and friendly people, and the behavior of our species when we go about our daily lives blind to our impact and part in the natural world around us. These aspects and tasks might seem very time consuming, and they are, but they don’t interfere with my habit of collecting music throughout the day. I believe that there is nothing powerful enough to consume my time to the point where I turn my back to my obsession of listening to everyone’s music. In my case, which might be obvious due to the nature of this blog post, nu cumbia is at the forefront of the music that I collect and listen to.

I was a bit late last weekend, so late that I failed to write and publish this post. That being said however, there were several incredible new tracks uploaded to the Internet clouds that did not escape my attention. It would be a crime against all that is good for me not to share them with all of you right now.

Pedrolito starts things off this time with his newest cumbia mixtape for his Dale Amor A la Cumbia series. Pedrolito never ceases to successfully deliver the goods from cumbia digital to chicha to everything under the cumbia sun.

Our deep cumbia boy Dany F explores the deepness he is peacefully content in producing in once again with his newest creative cumbia featuring Leandro Diaz.

It’s been a couple of months or perhaps more, since DJ Pase appeared here on SSC. Making for an awesome return, he delivers us this very cool cumbia rebajada.

A warm little cumbia comes this week from Sigsonbia. It is very minimalistic, which is an aspect that seems to draw me in right away.

Qechuaboi is not known to be someone who won’t tackle new ideas and genres with his cumbia remixes. This is a good thing for us. And this next song is a good example.

I proudly wish to share a very special video with all of you. This is a video featuring our good friend and SSC regular Kuto Selektah Quilla with his group Tunche SoundSystem.

This next one is too cool. The head honcho of the Pa Changas Collective Orihuela M.S.S. drops by SSC this week with his charming new cumbia digital.

Arturo Hererra DJ returns once again with his unique take on nu cumbia. This time he takes us into a cumbia psychedelica trip.

Turbo Sonidero Futuristico went to work on a new track featuring vocals by Amber aka Ambr33zy. Her vocals were recorded off her laptop’s built in mic.

I haven’t shared anything from Comanchaca for a long time now. I believe about five months actually. This is a good time to share some of his newer tracks. These tracks are all very interesting and worth downloading.

This takes me back. Ramon Ayala was the ballad master on par with Vicente Fernandez at the parties and clubs in my past. Here we get a taste of what happens when Ramon meets Enrikisimo DeeJay.

El Mulato is the man when it comes to interesting innovative ideas for nu cumbia. His latest showcases his unique sound that I always excitingly look forward to.

El Maestro, el genial DJ Neber hits the spot once again with his new Latin drum and bass experiment.

When I read or hear the name Derbastler I immediately think of Balkan infused cumbia. This time I was tricked and pleasantly so. His newest track takes on a lovely cumbia digital trip well worth having.

What a lovely original nu cumbia this one is, from our good old friend Nixtamal. The melody is very catchy, the bass has that analog synth bass I love and honestly wouldn’t want to live without, and the vocals are also quite lovely.

Colombian Free Mix dishes out the goods often these days. I love following CFM on SoundCloud because I really come across some fun tunes. Here is the latest fun tune now.

Last up is this slideshow of Northern California Bay Area cumbieros Candelaria set to their song Pendejita.

Well mis cumbieros I love you all and am very pleased that I was able to deliver you another Sexxy Saturday… eh… Monday Cumbia.

Peace

Art by 420 Grafix

With the weather warming up in the Northern Hemisphere I am starting to prepare my mind for the harsh dry months ahead of me here in the Southwestern desert. Along with the heat comes a lot of pool time. I’m a pool person. If there is a pool then I will be in it. There is something great about sharing a stagnant body of water with a lot of other people, some I know and in many cases, many I don’t. I’m not sure what that “something great” is but it has to be something and great in order to make me love it.

The summer also makes me think of things I hate, like the band Sublime. I never was a fan and couldn’t pin point why. Until very recently that is. I finally figured out why I don’t like them… It’s douche-bag reggae! That’s it! It was right in front of me. Maybe not in other countries but in the United States the super fans of Sublime are recognizable by certain characteristics, those consisting of bros, I mean brah’s with tribal tattoos, thin trim beards that outline their jaw, cargo shorts and muscle shirts. Another tactic for spotting these brah’s is if a DJ, jukebox or radio plays a Sublime song in public, the brah’s cannot resist singing along at the top of their lungs, even if it takes valuable time away from them slipping a date-rape pill into a girl’s drink. If I saying this offends you then you probably are one of these people, in which case I really don’t care.

Another thing I love about the hotter months is how well cumbia goes along with them. Cumbia delivers the perfect vibe for such a season. Poolside, parties and even after parties, cumbia delivers the right vibes perfectly.

To start things off I chose a few tracks that Sublime would have loved their music to be even a fifth as good as. These tracks capture a perfect vibe for kicking back and if you feel the desire, to smoke out too on a scorching hot summer night.

Pita Wilona delivers the first cumbia spliff.

I still can’t get enough of FeroZMonas. This guy messes with my head and truly experiments deeply with nu cumbia in very cool ways.

Philthy Dronez deals us a sick cumbia chronica featuring Turbo Sonidero Futuristico breaks.

New to SSC, Insane B-One brings us a Biggie tribute in his own way and in a cumbia style. Hypnotize truly messes with my brain with this edit.

I found a lot of tracks on this new mixtape by Dany F that I must have missed these past recent months, not all, but a lot of them I missed out on. I’m glad he delivers them to me to deliver out to all of you.

We hear from Cumbirichi again, it’s been a little while but I’m glad to have him back here and with his new Rude Boy Cumbia!

Cumbia Dub Club also known as Petardo is a good friend representing cumbia in Germany but soon will return to Peru to play in the barrios where cumbia is royalty. Petardo put together this cool little mini mix and even started it with my newest song, which was surprising at first and I am grateful for.

Two more mixes come here and they are both excellent and different from each other.

First with Piska Power, he selected some really excellent tracks for this mix featuring some of the biggest names in modern nu cumbia along with old legends.

The second mix comes from BN Loco. It has been a very long time since I’ve posted something here by BN Loco. It’s really cool that I get to do it again now. His mix is funky, as he fills it up with moombahton and cumbia.

I finish this week’s post with a dope new track by DJ Negro Dub. I strongly suggest downloading this one because it will tear up any dance floor if you play it. This is really nice courtesy of DJ Negro Dub.

That does it this weekend mis cumbieros. I hope you all have a great weekend and coming week. For those of us in the north, wear sunblock, drink lots of water and get wet (in a pool or other body of water. Don’t think so nastily). And for those in the south, bundle up and keep warm.

Peace

Simply brilliant are the two words I would use to describe Grammy nominated musical genius Arun Shenoy’s album Rumbadoodle, if two words were my limit and only choice. However fortunately for me this is not the case so I will gladly go further into explaining why it is so simply brilliant.

You might recall the name Arun Shenoy from a recent review I had written for Matthew Shell’s single Genesis. Arun is the incredibly talented arranger and composer on the single. Based in Singapore, Arun Shenoy travels the globe recording and producing music with various extremely talented musicians. I mention Grammy nominated not by mistake, for this is the absolute truth. Arun was nominated at the 55th Annual GRAMMY® Awards held on Feb 10, 2013 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for best pop instrumental album. This nomination was made rather wisely because the album nominated is, as I said, simply brilliant.

Beyond the Grammy nomination Arun is also a Breedlove artist, a showcase artist of SONY for their audio production suite, and also endorses PreSonus, the premier American manufacturer of live and studio sound equipment. So we are in the presence of some serious business here.

The album Rumbadoodle was no easy album to produce. It took many years to record, which was done all over the world. When I say all over the world I mean it. I am saying it was recorded in Spain, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Canada, India, Los Angeles and New York. The music on the record fuses traditional music with new modern sounds with Gypsy Rumba Flamenco as the basis. It is marvelous and well worth your time. Arun’s productions skills are very apparent with the recordings and compositions, they pretty much speak for themselves. But his skill with the violin is what stands out to me most. Within the first two notes you will be immediately drawn in to the music and it won’t let you go, which you will find will be much to your pleasure.

Below I have the complete album streaming along with his music video for his song The Violin Song.

The EP of remixes I feel clearly encompasses Cheik Hamala Diabate’s mission of staying true with his roots and griot nature (griot is a West African storyteller/poet) by bringing the traditional West African music into the mix with modern electronic composers and musicians, to reach out across the world to teach and inspire.

The remixes come from several serious producers like, Whiskey Barons, Daytoner, John Kennedy, E’s E and the aforementioned Sol Power All-Stars.

I have two of the remixes available for immediate download which are as follows:

If you’re like me when you find yourself driving very long distances (like 15+ hours) with no one to talk to, you end up going insane looking into your life. For me that was scary, I don’t want to come face to face with myself. For those who don’t know what it is like, imagine living in the past, present and future all at once, but all pertaining to your life. So basically it is insanity. Many thoughts swim around your mind all at once. You’ll find yourself saying “Damn I gotta get my shit together,” more than once.

But I also start thinking that maybe I come off wrong about Obama. I was somewhere between Amarillo, Texas and Tucumtari, New Mexico around ten in the evening, Amarillo being an actually nice little city with perhaps the best classic rock radio DJ I’ve ever heard, Tucumtari being a place no one in their right mind would ever want to stop in. Tucumtari is a place where bad things go to die. (Seriously don’t stop there if you ever come near it. Just go to the next city or town to get fuel. It’s not worth it. It is a dreadful place. In my adult life I’ve stopped there two times. And the first time I thought to myself that if I was suicidal, this would be the place to end it. It’s that awful. Regardless of what all the teasing billboards say about the charm of Tucumtari and how it is a great place to visit, don’t do it). With a head full of time released morphine teamed up with a few Soma muscle relaxers and a Percocet, not only is it dangerous to be driving in such a way but it’s also a crazy experience having imaginary walls popping up coming in and out of existence at incredible speeds – hallucinations I suspect brought on by the Soma’s. I couldn’t help it though because I had a four-millimeter calcium stone trying to enter my bladder, I needed to stop the pain somehow (that’s my excuse). Still though I can drive through the imaginary walls with ease, knowing that they are of course, in fact imaginary.

There somewhere between those two cities way out in the desert, alone, already driving about six hours, I realized that publicly I appear to be too hard on Obama. It is his performance as a President that I have problems with. And that’s a good thing, because we need to keep these people in check. I am the same exact way with every President we’ve had since I was able to form my own opinions. The flack non-Obama supporters get is often due to his race. We are accused of racism. The race card is the ender of all arguments. It’s such an easy card to throw down and an easy way out of any opposition. I’m here to say that in my case, the only case I can truly defend, for I am the only person I truly know, and even then not all that well, racism is most definitely not the case. I thought about Obama and the things I like about him. Besides being an excellent speaker and a very intelligent person (a gift considering our last President) but he is the most attractive, no, I dare say, the sexiest President we’ve ever had. And that is an undisputed fact. I like Obama physically. He has a low booming voice and a beautiful high register singing voice, which is always such a rarity. The man can sing! I was mad when he sang Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.” Mad because I didn’t want to admit that the man could sing. But in my defense also mad because charming tactics often over shadow deviant and tyrannical behavior. This thought occurred, just to make it more impactful, while listening to the new Kelly Clarkson song. It wasn’t my fault, the only station I could pick up was an Armarillo college radio station. So I did what I had to do, I blasted Kelly Clarkson while thinking homosexual thoughts about the President of the United States of America.

And that was my gay moment of the week!

Now to the unrelated cumbia.

A deep cumbia-dub appears this week courtesy of the now named Dr. Paniko. I love the name and the vibes in this one.

This one is mine. I shelfed it for a while but finally got around to finishing it up.

This is really cool from Andres Digital. It goes all over the place but maintains a really good vibe and flow. Good on you Andres Digital.

Oh man Turbo Sonidero Futuristico nailed it with his new cumbia mix! There are some excellent tracks on this one. You should really consider downloading it.

Real Cumbia Activa (RCA) is a new project with Albert DJ, Awustin Sound System, Fake Moustache and 420 Music Flavor. They are putting out some really dope tunes lately. Give them a listen and see what you think. You can expect to hear a lot more from them in the near future.

I am six months late on this next one, but better late than never. Soulphonetics has a really awesome name. But the awesomeness doesn’t stop there, it carries on over into their music.

No one quite does it like Dengue Dengue Dengue! Watching these guys grow and rise in popularity has been a wonderful pleasure for me. Soon I will share all the remixes produced by their fans, but for now let’s visit DDD!’s new remix of their Peruvian influences Los Mirlos song “Chinito en Onda.”

Oh also keep an eye out for their upcoming European tour dates now that they recently signed with Chusma Records.

Folcore Netlabel returns with an excellent new EP called Cumbia de Piedra by Jhon William Castaño. With remixes by El Timbe and Rafael Aragon this EP is quite lovely indeed. The original track is right up my alley when it comes to melancholic cumbia. Here is the official track followed by El Timbe’s take on it.

Download the full EP here.

Our boy DJ Neber appears here on SSC again. He can’t stay away; or rather I can’t help but to share every one of his tracks as he releases them. DJ Neber is too much fun.

Santos is another act to keep an eye out for. I have their single off their soon to be released album. Their sound is quite unique. They have a cumbia digital sound that I love and simply cannot get enough of.

I was about to post this mix last week but I wanted to save it for this week and to be honest I can’t remember why I made that decision. I think it is a great mix, really great actually. I love Empresarios and it’s good to have them on here this weekend. This is a mix that was performed on Colliderscope Radio – a show new to me.

Wrap your mind around this experimental remix for a few minutes It’s by Ato TeesVaan, new to SSC.

3ball giant Sheeqo Beat brought this new song to my attention. It is by Monterrey resident Morenito de Fuego and this is a single of his new solo album Zombi.

A very wild mashup by 42o Selektah just dropped by not long ago. It’s actually a pretty neat new take on El General’s classic “Tu Pum Pum.”

This week’s Sexxy Saturday Cumbia is a big one. But I feel I chose some really great tracks to share with you cumbia heads, my dear cumbia heads.

Peace

To hear something new from Calavera Calavera is truly a joy for me. Last year I simply couldn’t get enough of their LP The Fearless Vampire Killers. One might recall that album being on my top 12 Albums of 2012 list last year. Well now they are back, once again sharing a darkness one normally doesn’t associate with sunny Madrid, where they reside.

The new Calavera Calavera EP is interestingly titled Come And Dance With Us Forever And Ever. This EP differs a lot from their last album. There isn’t a strong underlying theme like last time and it doesn’t hit as hard, but it does keep their unique fusion of styles that they go in and out of unexpectedly. Come And Dance With Us Forever And Ever is more dance friendly. so on that note the title is not misleading. Weaving through dubstep, electro, moombahton and just feel good dance music, they fuse the genres brilliantly as I expected based on their past work.

There are four tracks and each one quite different from the rest. I think this EP clearly showcases Calavera Calavera’s unique approach to these modern dance genres. Come And Dance With Us Forever And Ever is more than worthy of your time. Calavera Calavera continues to be different and creative without it appearing to be the intention, the creativity is honest and humble, and it really shows.

With smaller means of production, Terror Negro Records has proven that talent and passion surpass money and large publicity in the modern music industry. This small band of Peruvian brothers work, live and produce together to create truly astonishing nu cumbia and dub productions. I have exposed myself as a huge fan of TNR more than once, that is certain and provable, and I have no expectation to cease my support for them.

This time around we’re looking at Loko Bonó the dubbiest perhaps of the TNR artists. His new album Dub Inna Mamayete`s was released just a short bit ago and I am proud of my fortune of being able to promote it here on Generation Bass after it’s release.

Mostly dub, Dub Inna Mamayete`s is a slightly dark sounding album. It is definitely, as is the case with all other TNR releases, a worthy album to spend some time with exploring.

With the helping hand of painkillers I am here able to write this week’s Sexxy Saturday Cumbia on time. Though I’m still looking forward to the part where the pain isn’t so bad anymore and I can enjoy the effects of the Percocet. I figure one more day perhaps.

As for right now however the pain is minimal enough to allow me to focus on publishing this post on time. So without further ado let us begin.

This was a pretty dope find. It’s always nice to have some Pa Kongal tracks on here. This is his latest edit he published on Official FM. Classic dope Pa Kongal work if I say so.

Bay Area badass Turbo Sonidero Futuristico has been busy producing some exciting new tracks. On Wednesday the 7th of May Tumbias Electronicos will come out on Caballito. Here is a lovely taste of what’s to come on the album.

I just recently heard this remix by Turbo Sonidero Futuristico too. This is a really pleasant gem that shows his diversity.

Tu Guaina is a true experimenter of sounds and illustration. The Argentine maestro has been keeping me busy this past year or so keeping up with him. Here is his latest masterpiece.

One of the raunchiest, nastiest cumbias to come out surely has to be this edit of “My Neck My Back” by 42o Selektah.

Earlier last week I wrote a little piece about this band on NCE called Atlantic Soul Machine. These guys are funky as can be with their awesome fusion of Colombian tropical sounds with hip hop and other urban vibes.

The first few latin – tropical bass remixes of the new Daft Punk hit “Get Lucky” have surfaced on the web. The first and excellent cumbia one I encountered was from the always-forward thinking Yelram Selectah.

We have a new Sonidos Profundos track come to us by way of 305 Recordings. It is different than what I usually here from Sonidos Profundos, not that it’s bad, it is still quite good, just a lot different. What do you think?

Finishing this short post up, we now go to a really dope cumbia dub remix very creatively produced by El Mulato. This is lovely.

Shorter than usual perhaps this week but the selection here is really good I believe. I am just happy I can come through for all of you, my dear friends.

Here’s to no more pain!

Peace

A few days ago we brought you the sneak peek of Matthew Shell and Arun Shenoy’s new amazing single Genesis. We, or rather, I promised to post the track in its entirety on Thursday but fell ill and was unable to do much. However now I am in a better position to be able to share it with all of you. I appreciate your patience.

I also have a special treat added to this single, an exclusive preview of the entire LP Victorious! (Victorious is coming summer 2013)

First up here is the lovely single so many have fallen madly in love with. The video first presents the brilliant Raven MTX multitouch DAW controller explained by its developer the massively successful Steven Slate and then goes into the behind the scenes footage of the recording of the single Genesis.

I must say this is a truly soulful album. Every song besides being performed extremely well by top musicians and produced with superb expertise, all flow so sweetly together. I would say Victorious is a powerful gospel album devoted to the wonderful feeling of love when you find that special someone and how through their support and connection you reach a figurative state of heavenly euphoria.

Victorious is more than just a incredibly beautiful album, it is proof of how musicians and artists from around the world can now connect to record amazing music together without the limitations of location. I love when I come across projects like these. I first started thinking about how these projects will come to be a long time ago when we all first started connecting musically to each other through MySpace. I felt positive, in both senses of the word, that the future, which is now our present, would consist of some amazing projects that were simply not possible before. This is definitely the case with Victorious, which I would go as far as to state is a perfect example.

Each track doesn’t cease to surprise. I find it difficult to identify a genre to file the album under. Inside the gates of Victorious you will find jazz, fusion, soul, gospel and RnB, all of the highest caliber quality. If you wish to let yourself go freely into a world of love, passion and brilliant musicianship and songwriting, then Victorious honestly is your one stop to fulfill this desire.

As I’ve said many a time before, getting to know Matthew Shell and his work has been a blessing I never expected. It took less than thirty seconds of listening to one of his songs for me to be drawn in and hooked forever. Matthew Shell is… Well here is his short biography from the press release, which seems to explain enough to know he is very special:

Matthew Shell (MTS) is a Washington DC based music producer & engineer, recently featured on GRAMMY.com. He has produced artists such as Marcus Johnson, Kenny Wesley, D2D, Carolyn Malachi, Kolten Perine, Greg Adams, Paul Jackson Jr. & Trey Eley. MTS has engineered for O.A.R. & has engineered & mixed for DJ Flexx, Free, Jeff Lorber, Marcus Mitchell, Gerald Albright, among others.

And here is a little bit about his partner on Genesis Arun Shenoy, who is someone I was fortunate to learn about due to Matthew Shell:

Arun Shenoy is a GRAMMY® nominated songwriter and record producer. Based in Singapore, his production style weaves through the genres of rock n roll, worldbeat and new age music. His debut world fusion production titled “Rumbadoodle” released in August of 2012 has garnered critical acclaim and a GRAMMY® nomination at the 55th Annual GRAMMY® Awards.

We are talking about Grammy nominated and recognized producers and musicians here, which comes to me as no surprise simply by listening to the productions. Many vocalists, musicians, engineers and producers were involved in the Victorious LP. The list is:

Vocal artists featured:
Kenny McNeil, Taurus Soul, G.P. Jackson, Javier Starks, Bomani Armah, Rufus Fly, Danielle Withers & Ama Atobrah.

Musicians featured:
Ian Cameron (Violin), Jonathan Anand Wesley (Keys, synthesizers & strings), Sebastian Wyrobisch (Drums), Vahagn Stepanyan (Piano, rhodes & synthesizers), Markus Huber (Bass), Teo Lee (Bass), Mr. Turner (Bass), Marcus Singleton (Synthesizers), Darrick Atwater (Drums, guitars & synthesizers), JONQ (Beat Box), Marcus Johnson (Keys), Greg Adams (Trumpet), Paul Jackson Jr. (Electric Guitar), Dominic Scott (Synthesized drums), Marcus Mitchell (Sax), Thomas Morris (Drums), Devin Spear (Electric Guitar), Cristina Botnari (Violin), Anastassia Ivanova (Piano) & Matthew Shell (Acoustic Guitar, Drums, Piano, Ambient Instrumentation, Bass & Synthesizers).

Arrangers, Producers & Engineers featured:
Arun Shenoy (Co-production & additional arrangement), Jonathan Wesley (Strings arrangement), Asaf Piotrekovsky (Strings arrangement), Matt Saba (Arrangement), Thomas Morris (Co-production & arrangement), Conrad Osipowicz (Additional engineering), Alexander Brusencev (Drum engineering), Darrick Atwater aka Agent Method (Production, engineering & mixing), Dominic Scott aka DomScott (Production & engineering), Pancho French (Vocal engineering) & Matthew Shell (MTS) (Production, engineering, arrangement & mixing).

You can now purchase Genesis from these online retailers:

What I am about to state here is with complete and total sincerity. If there is one person I had to choose, of the many I know, who I think will become a huge presence in the music industry, I would single out without hesitation and with a joyful heart, Matthew Shell of MTS music.

One fortunate day I stumbled upon his wonderful masterpiece (and I don’t say masterpiece as an overstatement but rather as an understatement) Beautiful Dreamer featuring the immaculate vocalist Carolyn Malachi. My personal discovery of Matthew Shell’s talents has been wonderful as every new production I have encountered since continues time and again to bestow euphoria upon my being.

I couldn’t resist but to interview him to learn more and I did so here on Generation Bass last year. The interview was received so incredibly well, much better than my expectations. The number of Facebook likes and links from other websites to it provide honest proof of this success. I had nothing to do with the powerful reception as far as promoting is concerned. I do implore anyone of you who missed it to visit it here from August 2012, and experience it for yourself. After this interview, I kept seeing links to it and other Generation Bass articles featuring Matthew pop up all over the place, like this one for example.

I am expressing how big a deal this post actually is and how fortunate it is for Generation Bass to be so well associated with Matthew Shell. He had a featured article on Grammy.Com as an exclusive first listen. This is something quite hard to come by. I’m also sure that after this article here we will see a lot of traffic and Facebook likes due to the popularity. Basically if you haven’t heard about him then your knowledge of the modern RnB scene is not as strong as you might have thought, but that is okay, he is friendly and caring and more than happy to share his music productions with all of you.

To say I lucked onto becoming friends with Matthew Shell is also a massive understatement. What other luck that comes with the friendship is a deep respect and exclusive information that I am chosen to share before anyone else. To be privy to his new productions is an incredible honor for me. I even was asked to help choose between masters of his new single (which were mastered by Emily Lazar, the Foo Fighters mastering engineer).

I am fortunate for being given the respect to have first dibs at sharing a video featuring his new single Genesis from his upcoming album to be released this summer titled Victorious. Genesis will be officially released this Thursday the 25th of April.

The beauty of this new project is the eclectic group of musicians and producers from around the world who are involved in it. The bass player Teo Lee shared his wonderful first hand story of the creation of Genesis via his own personal blog. It is truly lovely and I ask kindly for you to give it a read and feel inspired by Teo’s own account. I was certainly moved. Read Teo’s blog post here.
