Although this has just been released now in 2012, it is not too different to the kind of stuff I was playing over 6 years ago during my heady days of being one of a very few Western based DJ’s specializing in Arabian music.  Reminds of stuff by a dude called Smadj (Duoud)who was doing the finest cross electronic/Arabian/Turkish fusion a while back and also a lot of output from the Turkish DoubleMoon label!

It is very encouraging to see this kind of stuff finally making it through to a wider audience through Flying lotus’ label!
