BANDISH PROJEKT AND FOLKTRONIC ANNOUNCE A REMIX COMPETITION FOR THE ASPIRING ELECTRONIC MUSIC PRODUCERS
~ Winning producer to get an opportunity to win a Soundcloud Pro account and also be a part of Bandish Projekt’s – Correkt Remixed slated for worldwide digital release by Folktronic, concept label by Sony Music ~
The common element of scouting for fresh talent got Bandish Projekt and Sony Music’s concept label Folktronic to come together to announce this initiative. The remix challenge that runs from August 10th to August 31st allows the winning producer to get an opportunity to win a Soundcloud Pro account and also to be a part of Bandish Projekt’s next release – Correkt Remixed. The song chosen for remix is called “Folk Tronic”, the original track -http://bhejafryrecords.bandcamp.com/track/folk-tronik. The winning remix will be announced on September 5th.
After I Am Not Alone, this Bandish Projekt will launch their next EP “Correkt Remixed”, a revolutionary remix release featuring cutting edge sounds via Indian and International producers, including Piyush Bhatnagar aka “Sound Avtar”, and Ukrainian Nikolai Bogomolov aka “NickBee”.
Bandish Projekt resonates the musicality of 32-year-old Mayur Narvekar—composer, DJ, producer, remixer, performer, and multi-instrumentalist who started making music in the late 90’s and created the concept of the Bandish Projekt. Commenting on this initiate, Mayur says, “There is so much talent out there and we believe we can get some to be a part of our new album Correkt Remixed scheduled to release in October 2012.”
Adding on Jayesh Veralkar, Head Day 1, Sony Music Entertainment says, “It’s a great opportunity for emerging producers to showcase their skills in the electronic music production realm and get discovered. It’s a perfect blend for Folktronic and we are glad to be associated with the Bandish Projekt who is also one of the key artists on our talent management roster.”
To be released digitally worldwide by Folktronic, concept label of Day 1 / Sony Music Independent and produced by Bheja Fry Records, the album will be available across digital platforms as well.
