AlexisK – New Zealand Earthquake Appeal
We needed to repeat this!
Generation Bass would just like to pass on their condolensces to all the people affected by the recent earthquake, our prayers/good wishes are with you and your families.
Here’s Alexis K with a track for a very good cause!
Minuit – Except You (Alexis K) [Empathy] – ALL PROCEEDS TO CHCH RELIEF by AlexisK
All proceeds from this track go to the Red Cross Quake Relief in Christchurch, New Zealand
Part of the Minuit Mix series, Alexis K has offered this mix of Except You so we can send some support to the emergency response being supplied by the Red Cross in Chch. The track will also appear on Empathy Records donation compilation on junodownload coming out this week which features tracks from many NZ producers (including Minuit’s own Funknslocuts). Check it out as well.

Much love to the many in and out of Christchurch
We all know someone effected.
Everything has changed. Do what you can.
I never like anything I see, but i’d like to see you sometime..
Co-Captain – KlezmerSteP
Transnational Dubstep inlcudes KlezmerSTeP!
Den Flygande Bokrullen (The Flying Bookroll/Scroll) is a Swedish Klezmer Band which have been favourites of mine for quite a while now (http://www.denflygandebokrullen.nu/). Then one night after a strong cup of coffee on Saturna this remix happened. Thanks to the band for permission to post the tune and for making rad music! Very likely more Flygande Bokrullen remixes coming soon.
Paranoise Collision
The up & coming duo Paranoise Collision continues his rise in the Dubstep game. Open Fire is a tune matching the higher standards with its haunting vocals and superb beat production. On the flip, Riskotheque gives it a proper wobbling version that will make you scream again and again.
Defemate
Some good stufff here from this dude based in Belgium, dark and deep!
Th0R Music -Dre Dre/Eminem
Skylar Grey is the star of this track, here’s a good remix!
Toro 43
I am a dj/producer/live PA of heavy bass music. i want to share my music to all bass loving souls and promote positivity in all forms.
One Love.
Titch Beats
Titch Beats is Sam Knowles, a 16 year old Midlander from my neck f the woods and he shows a helluva lot of promise. The OG Killer track and the freebie are da ones for me!
Nothing new or ground-breaking BUT there’s something there. Her kind of like reminds me of a mix between Subscape, Liquid Stranger and Datsik.
I think he’ll mature into an awesome producer & so keep your eye on him!
Refer
A simple edit wobbles bootleg remix by this dude from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Coasthill
Can’t pretend that I’m a Linkin Park fan because I ain’t but I do love Popstep remixes and this one is good man!
Three Colours/Evolve or Die
Evolve or Die’s remix of London post-rock outfit Three Colours, about to be released as part of a free EP through bandcamp on the 28th February…
Suicide Dub’s very own Evolve or Die is given the remixing reigns on Calvaire. Turning the original into a bonafide Bassbin Destroyer. One for all you dubsteppers out there…
We’re extremely excited about the EP’s release as we’ve managed to secure two top notch remixes. One is of a very dark, progressive house vibe, the other, which I’m sure you guys are more interetsed in is straight up Dubstep. Suicide Dub’s very own Evolve or Die has kindly put his midus touch to the original following a string of previous successes including his huge bootleg of Massive Attack’s ‘Teardrop’. This remix of Calvaire sees EoD takes the reigns and turn what was a rather emotive and engaging piece of post/math rock into an unadulterated bassbin destroyer, ready for the dancefloor. With Evolve or Die having already released singles on High Rankin’s Suicide Dub Compilation’s, should already know what to expect!
Steve Glen – Willow Smith Dubstep
Yes I have just posted a dubstep remix of Willow Smith.lol…F**k all the haterz..ahhahahaa
Whip My Head (Steve Glen Dubstep Remix) from Steve Glen on Vimeo.
Madeline Puckette
This is pretty DOPE and deeep, out now!
Maribou State
Staying with the Post-Dubstep feel, here’s some awesome stuff from Maribou State (fka Ghost).
Blunt Instrument
It’s become apparent to anyone who’s paying attention that the West Coast of the US has become the forefront for glitch hop and experimental bass music, but from time to time producers from far fetched corners of the world chime in on the conversation with their take on what it means to whomp.
Example: Luke Latimer and Rocco Mico are a production duo from the rural northern coast of the New South Wales province in Australia. A chance 5 minute encounter with a set of turntables started the duo on a 5 year journey to become the glitch hop act Blunt Instrument.
Drawing early influence from instrumental hip hop maestros DJ Food and Shadow, the two have been on a constant mission to create the most cutting edge beats available; its no wonder they’re currently working in glitch hop and don’t see stopping anytime soon. With recent chart success on “Acid Crunk Volume 3” (Beatport Breaks Charts #2), appearances in support of Ant-ten-ae and Ill Gates, and releases on notable labels such as Muti, among others, the duo is quickly kicking up some international dust in the global glitch arena.
On Blunt Instrument’s debut release for Simplify, the duo draws heavily on a 00’s era funky nu skool breaks production style in creating their midtempo shlump funkers. On this five pack, Blunt instrument combines swing samples, heavy bass lines, dance hall cadences, and spooky classic dub ambience to carve out a gleaming slice of funky glitch they can call all their own. Sheeqo Beat
Sheeqo is our dude from Mexico. One of Toy Selectah’s boys who usually does something called Tribal Guarchero and also he developed what we call, “GuaracheroSteP”.
Here he is with a straight dubstep number and man I gotta say I do prefer his GuaracheroSTeP stuff as it’s more innovative!
