Man, it was great to finally catch up with Akwaaba main man, Benjamin Le Brave at the Generation Bass Festival a few weeks back. It was the first time we’d met in person after having a virtual friendship for well over a year or so. So it was great making that contact in person and hanging out together :-)
Anyway, one of our favourite African music labels is back with some great goodies, which includes 3 new releases and 2 mixxtapes!

~Arc Djebe & Zozodede – Dagbénéva (Togo)~
When was the last time you listened to music from Togo? Arc Djebe is a fantastic singer songwriter, who takes Togolese tradition, especially its ridiculously rich drumming, and propels it into intricate guitar and voice driven songs. Over two decades writing songs, playing gigs, yet hardly any kind of action for Arc besides local tours in West Africa. It’s about time. Free mp3:
