Since the death of Ali Farka Touré, the African fingerpicking torch has been passed onto his son Vieux Farka Touré.  The *vieux* part in his name is intended as  a cheeky joke, as it means *old*. Ah, we really do miss the old Touré, he’ll always remain our favorite pick of the African guitarists.  At least there’s Vieux to keep our hopes up and with a new sound and some experimental playing styles.
